Production Operative

Production Workers Required ASAP, in the Moulding department, for our client in Southend-On-Sea

We are looking for reliable, hardworking people to work in fast paced production roles, on various shift positions, starting ASAP. You will ideally have experience in Assembly production/ Manufacturing, and be able to follow instruction. Good dexterity is a must. This is a fantastic opportunity for a temporary, on-going position.

Your duties will include:

Operate and set Mould machines from (20T - 220T) fully auto
Must be willing to work across all production areas.
Able to fault diagnose Mould process issues and tooling.
Ensure efficient running.
Identify improvements.
Participate in improvement teams and initiatives.
Actively support waste reduction initiatives.
Carry out own Inspection Functions.
Participate in two-way communications with the team and attend relevant accountability meetings
Reach a high level of competence for all the processes: so you are able to coach other team members, to ensure Safety, Quality & that output targets are met
May be expected to work other shift patterns.

Skills/ Experience required for a Mould Operative:

Good knowledge of thermoplastic materials.
Fully conversant with all aspects of Moulding process
Used to working to HSE regulations.
Team player and working using your own initiative to help improve efficiency.
Must be committed to achieving the Team's objectives and targets.
Must be physically fit, as this role includes a lot of standing, walking and some lifting will be involved.

Various Shift Patterns, see below:

Monday to Thursday 2pm-10pm

Monday to Friday 6:30am - 4:30pm

Pay Rate is £11.44 per hour with further increase after 12 weeks, overtime paid at £17.16.
