About the team
Focused on infrastructure as code, we are responsible for delivering intent based networking solutions for automated business, engineering, and monitoring products as part of the wider end to end IaaS framework across the private and public cloud environments.
What you will be doing
As a Senior Network Manager, you will lead a team of automation and monitoring engineers to provide and develop the relevant tooling architecture and platforms for the infrastructure group. You will act as a service provider to your key stakeholders in the network operations center, the infrastructure automation development teams, and the infrastructure engineering teams.
You will own automation and network tooling (automation execution and network monitoring) acting as a service provider to the wider technical organization(s) for those tools establishing, maintaining, and evolving an ‘as a service’ framework.
You will build and lead a team of 4-5 like-minded skilled individuals to realize that framework developing and implementing the standards, procedures, and processes for your stakeholders.
In addition, you will be responsible for tooling integration to systems such as Service Now, GitHub and Splunk to assist with incident management, capacity planning, data visualizations and the general day to day running of the network infrastructure.
Hands on! This is a technical role.
You will consult with the engineering and automation teams to provide monitoring and automated solutions consumable by the wider group for the provisioning of systems into your platforms.
You will assist the wider group with incident management as required.
What you bring:
An SRE / DevOps mindset.
A track record of managing and maintaining network tooling lifecycle at scale.
Real world experience of coding automation products for use at scale
A solid understanding of modern network technologies, architectures, and systems
Experience of automation platform management - Ansible and / or Terraform.
Experience of multi cloud network management using system API’s and SNMP
A proactive approach to monitoring
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
Added bonus if you have:
Experience of agile product management
Experience of creating and managing GitHub Actions pipelines / GitOps
Data visualization experience using any of the following: Grafana, Kibana, Vega
Experience of AIOps
Experience of Kafka, Telemetry, Prometheus
