Due to continued business growth, we are recruiting for two Account Managers to join our growing Sales Team, in our Electrical division. As an Account Manager you will become a dedicated point of contact for a portfolio of mid-sized contracts.

We love working with people who think like we do and as an Account Manager, your day will involve building and developing sustainable relationships with some of our key customers. You will gather and process information from which you make informed decisions and positively contribute to the delivery of targeted business results, supporting profitable growth, rate, retention, training and additional services.

The ideal candidate for this role will be based in the North West, with access to our Preston office as this is an office based role.

What will I be doing?

Typically the job will involve interacting with customers across our broker and direct client portfolio. You will spend the majority of your time applying a range of negotiation techniques to drive revenue while proactively identifying ways to improve the customer experience. You will use your relationship management and strong communication skills to deliver brilliant customer service.

Owning and taking accountability for dealing with customer queries within your portfolio of contracts through to resolution (within your levels of authority)

Following agreed processes and procedures to ensure customer service standards are consistently achieved

Develop systems knowledge and understanding in order to deliver the highest quality of customer service

Using your influencing and negotiation skills to generate leads/business opportunities to support our strategy and expand client relationships

Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner to achieve a high standard of customer satisfaction

Managing and resolving complaints within own license level to maintain quality and continuity of relationships

Managing customer expectations while proactively identifying and pursuing up-sell and cross-sell opportunities

Planning and managing your own work load, taking into account changes in customer priorities

Adapting quickly to change in volume of demand, operating process and technologies

Becoming a recognized expert in applying best practice across all core tasks

What experience do I need?

Our team consists of the best Account Manager team members, you just need the right attitude and aptitude for what we do! You will be an excellent negotiator, and offer lots of experience supporting large corporate customer groups.  

You will:  

Offer experience of working directly with a variety of customers and within the customer environment (Sales Support or Account Management experience within Engineering, Inspection or Insurance is an advantage)

Demonstrate the ability to consistently achieve targets, ideally in sales or customer retention 

Excel in relationship building owing to your strong communication skills

Show confidence in negotiation

Have lots of enthusiasm to deliver an exceptional customer experience, every time!

Great organisation skills, with the drive to complete tasks accurately and on time

Naturally, you will have excellent attention to detail as you will be working with large amounts of data (having strong Excel skills and experience of using MS Dynamics would also be an advantage)

Do what you say you will do; Talk to anyone in our team from engineers to our back office team and we’re always open and honest

Be reliable; There’s something about being dependable that we all think matters

3 years or more experience of account management with contract values of £50k - £1m
