GSL Education is partnering with an SEND school in Plymouth to recruit Learning Mentors for full-time, long-term roles, with the opportunity to transition to permanent positions!
Job Title: Learning Mentors
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £80 to £94 per day
Start Date: ASAP
The school offers a personalised wrap-around education package for students with complex needs or EHCP pupils who are at risk of requiring residential education. These students have struggled to succeed in Plymouth secondary and special schools or are returning from out-of-county placements.
Responsibilities:
Guide students as Learning Mentor, offering personalised guidance and support as a Learning Mentor.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behavior challenges and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements:
UK DRIVING LICENSE WITH ACCESS TO A CAR
HAPPY TO USE THE CAR FOR BUSINESS USE AND HAVE BUSINESS INSURANCE
Be available asap on a full time basis as a Learning Mentor
Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions
Demonstrated Patience and Empathy along with flexibility and adaptability
