Our clients are specialists in their industry, serving the energy sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them during an exciting period of growth!
Mechanical Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Be responsible for all aspects mechanical design work
* Plan and conduct projects to preset milestones and budgets
* Work with customers to get a comprehensive understanding of customer
* Developing cost effective design solutions to the customer’s technical and commercial requirements
* Rectify any design errors, cost controlling all the time
* Undertaking theoretical analysis and mathematical modelling
* Developing and building prototypes to test their function
* Devising, implementing, and documenting appropriate experiments and tests
* Engineering change management
* Writing detailed technical documentation
* Sourcing components and liaising with suppliers
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will:
* 3+ years in an engineering design environment (ideally electro-mechanical)
* Have knowledge in engineering materials and manufacturing processes
* Experience working with complex machined parts
* BA degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
* Proficiency in common design software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
* Project management skills
