Quality & Compliance Manager
£40-55K dep on experience
Sussex or Kent as a base, very flexible working – Full and part-time candidates will be considered
Are you an experienced Legal Quality & Compliance Manager with working knowledge of the SRA Codes of Conduct and LSAG guidelines? If so, your skills and experience are highly sought after by a full-service law firm with offices in Sussex and Kent. Open to considering candidates who want full-time or be interested in a job share.
You will provide advice and assistance on a range of legal, regulatory and compliance areas, supporting the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) in maintaining a robust risk management framework and the embedded compliance culture within the firm.
Acting as a deputy to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and the COLP, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the firm’s compliance with its statutory and professional obligations, particularly in relation to the SRA Code of Conduct and Money Laundering Regulations.

Requirements
* Previous experience within legal quality and compliance
* Knowledge of the SRA Codes of Conduct and LSAG guidelines, particularly around conflict of interest and client confidentiality
* Understanding of risk as it applies to a legal firm
* Ability to keep abreast of current legislation, rules and guidance within the industry
* Confident in decision making regarding client due diligence queries
* Ability to deal confidently, sensitively, calmly and proactively with colleagues and third parties
* Sound leadership and management skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
