Experienced Groundworker
Galldris Group
Location: Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced Groundworker to join our team. To be considered, you will have experience working as a Groundworker on Civil construction projects.
You will work within an experienced groundworks team, as well as being supported by your Site Manager and the Site team. The role will typically involve installing drainage / Aco channels, kerbs & Edgings, installing ducts, preparing for paving. For full tasks please see Key Responsibilities below.
Qualifications and Experience required:
* Experience working as a Groundworker on Civil construction projects
* CSCS Green/Blue Required
* Full UK driving licence and own transport
* Right to Work in the UK
* Be reliable and punctual
* A good team player
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting the setting out engineer for the site
* Erecting barriers, fences, and safety signs, as required
* Laying underground drainage pipes, constructing manholes, draw chambers and laying underground ducting
* Laying kerbs, edgings, Preparing for paving
* Hand excavation of shallow trenches or hand trimming of trenches previously excavated by a machine
