Role: ASD Teaching Assistant - Secondary
Location: South East London
Contract: Full time / Part Time
Start: ASAP
Rate: £95-100 per day
Are you looking to develop your career in Education?
If so, we are looking for a compassionate SEN specialist TA who can deliver the best support for a year 7 boy who has Autism in a 1:1 Setting. You will be working at one of our leading secondary school. In order to successfully undertake this role, you would need great understanding of how to deal with challenging behaviour and various reinforcement strategies.
We welcome candidates who are coming out of University and looking to land their dream role. =
The ideal candidate:
Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.Requirements:
Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting students with ASD.
Ability to show empathy, compassion and resilience
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
