This role offers a blend of audit work and accounts preparation, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and advance towards becoming an Audit Partner.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage audit engagements, including timetable planning for clients with turnovers ranging from £1 million - £200 million.
* Monitor, assist and conduct audit fieldwork on multiple assignments simultaneously.
* Assess risks, design audit procedures, and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* Prepare audit workpapers, review financial statements, and document findings and conclusions.
* Review Audits prepared by Audit Seniors, including Corporation Tax and Statutory Accounts
* Prepare client accounts (experience of IRIS is ideal)
* Identify areas for improvement, control weaknesses, or compliance issues and make recommendations.
* Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver high-quality client service and meet deadlines.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing regulations and standards.
What we're looking for from you:
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Significant auditing and accounting experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
* Strong knowledge of auditing standards, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
* A strong grasp of matters such as VAT, CIS and how stock/inventory works in Manufacturing environments
* A good understanding of Personal Tax matters
* A desire to prepare
* Proficient in auditing and accounting software, and Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
