Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Team Leader to join their established team.
Remit:
* The role of Team Leader is to aid the company’s day-to-day function of the manufacturing facility. Closely monitoring the plant, to guarantee optimum cycle times are achieved, along with quality on a best first-time basis.

Role:
* Monitoring the manufacturing facility throughout the day for all machines.
* Delegate machine duties to shop floor staff via daily and weekly meetings.
* Monitor workers on-site during production activities to ensure adherence to quality and safety procedures.
* Evaluate manufacturing equipment (in conjunction with Mould Technicians for safety and functionality).
* Ensure that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards as per Quality Process sheets and Master Samples.
* Make sure all Master Samples are removed following production and returned to their designated location.
* Report any missing Master Samples if required and re-instate replacements if required.
* Sign off first-off samples and last-off samples to be returned and located with the Master Sample for the next batch production run.
* Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production quality standards.
* Check finished products at regular intervals and record checks on the Works Order record and Production Control Document to ensure that quality and company standards are met before they’re declared ready for packaging.
* Report any errors or required modifications to Quality Processing Sheets to help aid the operators.
* Schedule shop floor rest breaks to ensure minimum disruption to machine utilisation. Cover breaks if/when required.
* Ensure that semi-auto machines are constantly supplied with components.
* Ensure that any scrap is recorded for both morning and afternoon shifts.
* Keep a constant eye for manufacturing housekeeping.
* Work as the link between shopfloor members and staff and the management team to create a healthy and production communication method.
Experience Requirements:
* Proven experience in manufacturing industry
* Proven experience within injection moulding manufacturing environment
* Proven supervisory/leadership skills
* Computer literate
* Team building
* Experience managing performance and absence
