We are working with a successful Insurance Brokerage based in Stockton on Tees, looking for an experienced Financial Planner to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

The Financial Planner plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to our clients. This position involves working closely with clients to understand their financial objectives, providing bespoke financial advice, and developing long-term financial strategies that align with their goals. The Financial Planner will also be responsible for implementing recommended financial solutions and conducting regular reviews to ensure the continued relevance and effectiveness of clients' financial plans.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Client Engagement:

· Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients.

· Conduct in-depth financial needs analysis to understand client objectives.

Financial Planning & Advice:

· Develop comprehensive financial plans that include wealth management, retirement planning, estate planning, tax strategies, and risk management.

· Utilise advanced financial planning software and tools to model financial scenarios and cash flow forecasts.

· Stay abreast of the latest financial products, market trends, and regulatory changes.

· Ensure all financial advice and planning adheres to legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Implementation & Review:

· Oversee the implementation of financial planning recommendations.

· Coordinate with internal teams and external professionals (e.g., accountants, legal advisors) to execute financial strategies.

· Conduct ongoing reviews of client financial plans to ensure they remain aligned with client goals and market conditions.

Compliance & Professional Development:

· Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

· Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance expertise and maintain certifications.

· Contribute to the firm's knowledge base by sharing insights and best practices with colleagues.

Personal Specification:

Knowledge:

· Expert knowledge of financial services products, UK taxation, and financial planning principles.

· Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., Voyant) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills:

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with high-net-worth clients.

· Strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills.

· Highly proficient in creating and presenting financial plans and strategies.

· Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Experience:

· Proven experience in financial planning and wealth management.

· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a financial advisory role.

Qualifications:

· Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) as a minimum; Chartered or Certified Financial Planner qualifications highly desirable, with expectation to work towards Chartered Status.

· Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field is advantageous.

This role is full time working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
