We are now seeking a dynamic and compassionate Engagement Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming lives.

Job Description As an Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within our PRU. You will work closely with pupils, staff, families, and external agencies to develop and implement engagement strategies that support the holistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective engagement plans tailored to individual pupils’ needs.
Coordinate activities and programs that promote pupil engagement, attendance, and participation.
Build strong relationships with pupils to understand their interests, challenges, and aspirations.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to integrate engagement strategies into the curriculum.
Liaise with families and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive support network for each pupil.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement activities, making adjustments as necessary.
Organize events and initiatives that foster a sense of community and belonging among pupils.
Provide guidance and support to pupils to help them overcome barriers to learning and engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:

A relevant qualification in education, social work, youth work, or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational or youth services setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Desirable:

Experience in behavior management and conflict resolution.
Training in mental health first aid or similar support qualifications.
Familiarity with local support services and agencies.
